The 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 385bhp & propels the rear wheel drive sportscar to 60mph in under 4.4 seconds & on to a 186mph top speed. The 997 generation 2 cars do not suffer all of the problems of early 997 generation 1 cars, including IMS bearing failures, RMS leaks & Borescoring, all of these issues were eradicated by Porsche when they designed the all-new direct fuel injection DFI 911 engines for the generation 2 997s.

Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera S began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with Direct Fuel Injection DFI which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear and front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation & Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet looks stunning in its metallic coat of Basalt Black, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the red LED rear lights. The diamond cut 19-inch Turbo II lightweight alloy wheels are the perfect compliment to the paintwork. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The 911 Carrera S has been machine polished & waxed, which will help protect the paintwork & repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front & rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine & boot struts also operate as they should. The Black convertible fabric hood is fully electric & operates perfectly, stowing away in its own compartment behind the rear seats. It has been treated with the Autoglym hood cleaner & water repellent treatment so is in as new condition. The convertible hood can be operated remotely with the Porsche keys or even on the move, up to around 35mph should the weather change suddenly.

Interior
The Leather Seats with 2-way electric & height adjustment come with the optional Porsche Crest Embossed Headrests & heating. The extended black leather interior is in excellent condition & provides a perfect pairing to the Basalt Black bodywork. The Leather Sport Design Steering Wheel elevates the driver focussed feel of the interior. The factory PCM 3 headunit has been upgraded with the NM Automotive Apple CarPlay & Android Auto functionality, which is fully wireless, bringing the the in-car entertainment up to date, whilst retaining the original functionality of the factory UK/EU satnav & optional Bluetooth phone module. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 and 997 first generation engines. The 911 Carrera S engine produces 385bhp & 310ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability & superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the highly desired switchable sports suspension system PASM, which includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road. The Carrera S is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT & SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer & blips the throttle on downshifts whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the C2S.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. Because it has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, it unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS & LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes are only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Carrera S to respond & accelerate faster than the standard car, reducing the in-gear acceleration & the headline 0-60mph time by 0.4 seconds to just 4.4 seconds.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the optional 19-inch Turbo II lightweight alloy wheels, diamond cut with Meteor Grey metallic internal faces, which are original, unmarked, free of damage & corrosion. The brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled & vented discs front & rear. The callipers are painted Guards Red from the factory with PORSCHE lettering. The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Porsche N2-rated high performance tyres, with plenty of tread left on them.
