I have just purchased (23/09/23) a pristine 2014 Porsche Boxster S 981 from this company. I and a friend travelled up from Cardiff to view the car and met the owner Raj at his premises in Codicote, just outside Hitchin, Hertfordshire. It was a long journey but turned out to be worth every mile. The car is immaculate throughout, with a little under 21000 miles on the clock, a full Porsche service history and an extendable OPC. The car has clearly been looked after by its past 3 owners and was well prepared and presented for sale. Raj took me on a test ride and a test drive and the car never skipped a beat. I traded in a 2009 Boxster S 987.2 against the new vehicle and Raj gave me a good price for it. There was never ANY pressure from Raj to complete the sale and he also helped me tax and insure it so that I could drive it away that very same day. Now a personal word or two about the owner Raj. This was a first class experience. I saw the Porsche advertised on M R Sportscar’s website. It was perfectly presented: great representative photos and a 20 minute video: the company’s Director Raj, walking and talking us around the vehicle, inside and out. That virtual viewing was comprehensively presented: important for a non petrol-head such as myself. It was easy to set up a viewing. There was no pressure to buy at the time. Raj took me through the car’s spec: explaining what was unique about that particular model, a beautiful Cayman 987 3.4s Gen 2. He took me for a test drive and then let me have a go behind the wheel. Raj then took my partner for a spin so that she could get some sense of the car. We took a few days to consider the purchase. During that period I had a few follow up questions which were promptly, politely and thoughtfully answered. When I did decide to purchase the process was made simple. Raj even presented me with a fob containing the website’s photos and video should I need them in the future. He also reassured me that he would be available to assist if there were any teething problems: none as of yet, apart from a new set of wipers and a few dumb questions on my part: again all manfully managed by Raj. I haven’t bought that many motors in my time, but this is was by far the most relaxed and pleasant of experiences. Raj is calm, considered and kindly. I had an 11th hour wobble involving an eye condition and he offered me my deposit back with no worries if the eye proved to be a long term issue and rendered me a pedestrian. Thankfully I was ok to proceed. Early days but… the car is driving like a dream. I would confidently recommend M R Raj knows his onions and only presents ‘top end’ Porsches. And he does so professionally, with the keen and knowledgeable insight of a true enthusiast.

Hi there … I just wanted to leave this review as it is well deserved, forgive the length but I think the context is important and so that you know this is a genuine review. I was in the market for a new track focused car having sold my previous one. I had been thinking about a Cayman as I have a 911 and wanted to develop my driving experience that would enhance my skills for both cars so it made sense to have another Porsche. I know that I am very fortunate to be in this position and genuinely pinch myself when I open my garage I’d done a lot of research and decided that a Gen 2 987 Cayman S was the optimal car having stretched my budget that little bit further than when I first started looking. M R Sportscars had a couple of options both cars, one in budget and one outside of my budget. I contacted Raj and arranged to test drive the original car but of course I ended up driving both. There are no prizes for guessing which one I preferred! After having a very honest and open conversation with Raj I ended up getting the more expensive car because it ticked all the right boxes and then some. At no point was Raj pressurising or leading me in my decision making process, it was 100% my decision with input from Raj on direct questions asked. Prior to looking at these two cars I’d seen a car that Raj had previously that I thought was ideal for me, I then found out that Raj had this car back in stock and asked if could we look at a swap. This one was even more money!! Despite this Raj took a lot of time and trouble to explain to me why I was best to stick with the one I already had which really helped me to put my mind at ease. So the point I want to make here is that Raj is a top guy, there is no pressure at all for you to buy and what he works really hard to do is make sure that you end up with the right car for you and how you want to use it! Raj is respectful, honest, responsive and cares about what he does and how he does it. I have no hesitation in recommending Raj, I would happily buy from him again and I am sure that I will stay in touch with him and who knows maybe I’ll end up selling one or both of my Porsches to him when I look to make my next garage change.

This has been my best ever car buying experience, Raj at M R Sportscars Porsche is a true professional. I had been looking for a 911 997 for some time when I came across Raj’s video on YouTube showcasing the car. After a few calls with Raj I paid a deposit a week later I got a flight to Luton where Raj picked me up and we drove to M R Sportscars HQ where the car was waiting. Wow what can I say it looked even better than in the video, detailed to perfection and smelling of new leather shoes.

Raj went the extra distance to make my car buying experience the best yet – sorting out and fitting a Bluetooth device, uploading all the car documents/photos/video onto a USB, paper copies of the car documents laid out in a folder for ease of future reference and a lovely touch of suppling an official Porsche key ring. Raj also filled the car with petrol which brought me all the way home to Glasgow 400 miles in one tank was impressive.

Buying a car that I hadn’t test driven was a bit of a risk but with Raj I always felt I was making a good decision, the 6 month comprehensive warranty also put my mind at ease. If you are considering purchasing a used Porsche I would strongly recommend Raj at M R Sportscars is the place you should start, you won’t be disappointed.

I had been looking a few months to pick up a 997 Cabriolet having had two Coupes. I had sort of given up for a while given the worries about 997 gen 1 cars. To be fair I had a 2008 Carrera 2 and never experienced problems but my mileage was very low. I had researched Gen 2 cars on the Porsche specialist sites mostly via PistonHeads and made few more false starts… then I came across Raj at M R Sports Cars Porsche and everything changed.

My first enquiry was about a 997 Gen 2 Coupe and then I learned he had a Basalt Black Cabriolet 4S 2010. It was priced at quite a bit more than I budgeted, but I had noticed prices were getting wild. It was both our lucky day because my wife is crazy about triple black 911s- so the deal was set to fly. Raj sent me the very comprehensive details and video and I had a couple of long calls with him before viewing the car. This guy know his stuff and his cars, but never ever overplays his cards… quite the opposite – he is not the least bit pushy (rare in car dealer), rather his focus is making sure he has the right car for you and you will be 100% happy.

There were a couple of small issues and mods to make everything right for me, and this was managed swiftly and professionally. Throughout Raj was very patient with my fastidious nature concerning 911s. Finally the car was presented in utterly immaculate ceramic coating – what a beautiful finish.

Raj delivered the car to my home on Sunday morning (Bank Holiday Weekend) and as ever all the paperwork was in perfect order, complete with USB stick of photos, video and history.

I am of course absolutely delighted with the car and so grateful to Raj for the real care and attention he gave throughout . He deserves continuing success – he is a credit to the Porsche fraternity- one of the best.
