Background
Production of the 911 Carrera S began in early 2004, the new S version was offered, with additional power from a slightly larger engine, sports suspension, and sports exhaust. The Carrera S uses a new 3.8 litre flat-6 engine. As standard the Carrera S was fitted with 20mm lower suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), 19 inch wheels, 911 turbo brake setup, Bi-Xenon headlights and aluminium finish instruments.
“The handling balance of the Carrera S is superb. Retaining the unorthodox rear-engined layout has proved to be a great decision, as the latest 911 is as lithe and nimble as any sports car on sale today. No matter how quickly you’re driving, the Porsche is easy to place on the road and carves accurately through any corner.”

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera S looks stunning in its metallic coat of Arctic Silver, an optional colour for the car. The striking silver Carrera S 5-spoke alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the 911 Turbo red brake callipers. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The Carrera S has been waxed with Autoglym High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.
Interior
The optional black leather hardback sports seats and rest of the interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect pairing to the Arctic Silver metallic bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout. The sleek aesthetic is topped-off with features like the Sport Chrono Plus Silver Stopwatch on the dashboard, Aluminium dials and silver gearknob.
Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six engine. The Carrera S engine produces 350bhp and 295ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot (it has the recommended starter cable upgrade), there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. With its compact design and low weight, the 6 speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the 911 Carrera S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss. Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the highly desired Sport Chono Plus system, which includes the dashboard mounted silver stopwatch and lap timer. It also adds a SPORT button to the dash which tautens the throttle and the damping while loosening PASM’s reins.
Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the 19 inch ’5-Spoke’ Carrera S alloy wheels, which are totally unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion. The Turbo brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The rear brake discs and pads were replaced in December 2017 and the fronts are in very good condition too, so have plenty of life left in them. The tyres are matching Continental items with 6mm of tread on the front and 4mm on the rear.
