This is a historically significant Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 6-speed manual, finished in ‘triple black’ – Schwarz Black paintwork (code L041), black hood and extended black leather interior. Coupled with the 4.4cm wider rear end from the 911 Turbo, as well as the red brake and 20mm lower suspension setup from the Turbo, it makes for the ultimate open top 911 from the modern era.

This was the market launch car for the flagship Official Porsche Centre Mayfair, so as a result it was specified from the factory with some very special optional equipment, including 16-way adaptive hardback sports seats with Porsche crests and Schwarz Black seat backs to match the exterior, PSE Switchable Sports Exhaust, Leather centre console, Leather sun visors, Leather edged floor mats. It also comes with the sublime six-speed manual gearbox, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), BOSE surround sound system, satellite navigation (PCM), 2-stage seat heating, driver seat/mirror memory, auto wipers and 19″ Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels. The 911 also comes fitted with a Tracker, as well as the standard alarm and immobiliser system. The Carrera 4S Cabriolet has the iconic rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 350bhp as standard.

Just three previous owners and full Official Porsche Centre and Specialist service history with invoices. The most recent being undertaken by Official Porsche Centre Tonbridge, a major service at 49,038 miles with a number of additional items at the owners request. The Carrera 4S has covered 49,650 miles and it has been looked after by its former keepers regardless of cost. An oil analysis and engine inspection was carried out by a previous owner with all clear results, the oil analysis is provided in the detailed history folder. The car has also been fitted with a low temperature thermostat since mid 2016. The 911 has also been fitted with a low temperature thermostat as a further precaution. Inspected by PorschaCare in August 2019 as part of our preparation. With this being a pre-March 2006 car, it is significantly cheaper to tax, just £325 per annum versus £570 for a later post-March 2006 911 Carrera 4S. The car is HPI clear and comes complete with six months warranty for peace of mind.

Standard items include the PCM Satnav system, BOSE surround sound system, PASM Switchable Sports Suspension, Carrera 4S inscribed sill covers, Stainless steel quad exhaust tips, retractable rear spoiler, Automatic climate control, Electric windows, Headlight washers, dual cup holders, Remote central locking, Trip computer, PSM Traction Control, ABS, Locking glovebox, 12V sockets in passenger footwell/centre console, Alarm and Immobiliser. All equipment fitted to our 911 Carrera 4S works perfectly, so the car is exactly as it left the factory in October 2005.

Background
Production of the 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet began in early 2006, however this car was produced in October 2005 specially for Official Porsche Centre Mayfair as their Market Launch car. The Carrera 4S was an all-wheel drive version of the 2S that was released in late 2004. Just like the 2S, the S version was offered with additional power from a slightly larger engine, sports suspension, and sports exhaust. The Carrera 4S uses the 3.8 litre flat-6 engine found in the 2S. As standard the Carrera 4S was fitted with 20mm lower suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), 19 inch wheels, 911 turbo brake setup, Bi-Xenon headlights and aluminium finish instruments. The 4S has a 44mm wider rear end body shell and black plastic sill covers, just like the 911 Turbo.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera 4S looks stunning in its gloss coat of Schwarz Black, the most desired colour for the 911 because it picks up the light across its shapely body perfectly. The striking silver Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the 911 Turbo red brake callipers. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The Carrera 4S has been waxed with Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should. The blue convertible fabric hood is fully electric and operates perfectly, stowing away in its own compartment behind the rear seats.

Interior
The extended black leather interior is finished off perfectly by the 16-way adaptive hardback sports seats and leather centre console. The interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect partner to the Schwarz Black bodywork and Black hood. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six engine. The Carrera 4S engine produces 350bhp and 295ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot (it has the recommended starter cable upgrade), there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. With its compact design and low weight, the 6 speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the 911 Carrera 4S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss. Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the highly desired factory switchable sports exhaust system, which includes the dashboard switch that opens a set of valves that increase the sound throughout the rev range.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera 4S comes fitted with the 19 inch Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels, which are totally unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion. The Turbo brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The brake discs and pads are in excellent condition. The tyres are matching Michelin Pilot Sports with around 6mm of tread all round. All of these items have been replaced in recent years.

Our Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has a full Official Porsche Centre (OPC) and Specialist service history with evidence of work carried out shown in the accompanying invoices and original stamped service book. The most recent brake fluid change was at 49k miles, the spark plugs were replaced at 40k miles, the coolant was changed at 44k miles and the gearbox transmission oil was changed at 41k miles.

The car comes complete with invoices of work carried out, original owners manual pack and two keys. 6 month warranty and MOT until May 2020.
