Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera 4S began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear and front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation and Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera 4S looks stunning in its optional metallic coat of Basalt Black, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the red strip reflector on the rear of the wide bodyshell. The 19 inch Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the red 911 turbo style 6 pot Brembo brake callipers. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The 911 Carrera 4S has been waxed with Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. Prior to this, the entire was treated to a G-techniq Platinum ceramic coating in 2017 at OPC Colchester, which is guaranteed for another 3 years. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and clear rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior
The 18-way adaptive hardback sports memory seats come with optional 2-stage heating and like the rest of the interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect match to the Basalt Black metallic bodywork. The optional adaptive sports seats offer high comfort with excellent sports performance. Along with all the adjustment features of the comfort seats, the side bolsters on the seat surface and backrest are individually electrically adjustable, for increased comfort on long journeys and tailor-made lateral support through bends. The memory function supports both exterior mirrors and all seat positions on the driver’s side, apart from the side bolsters. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 and 997 first generation engines. The 911 Carrera 4S engine produces 385bhp and 310ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. With its compact design and low weight, the rarely specced 6 speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the 911 Carrera S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss. Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the highly desired switchable sports suspension system, which includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road. The Carrera 4S is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT button that sharpens the throttle response and engine map whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the C2S. Another addition is the exceptional Porsche Switchable Sports Exhaust (PSE) which significantly improves the sound of the 911 on any journey, without being too loud or intrusive.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera 4S comes fitted with the Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels, which are original, unmarked, free of damage and corrosion. The brake discs and pads are in good condition with minimal wear. The tyres are N rated Bridgestone Potenza RE050A high performance tyres with 5-6mm tread all round.

History File
Our Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has a full Official Porsche Centre (OPC) service history. The last major service was completed at 33,200 miles at Official Porsche Centre Colchester.

The car comes complete with the original stamped service book, original owners manual pack, history/provenance file and two keys. MOT until June 2020 and 6 months warranty.
