The 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 385bhp & propels the rear wheel drive sportscar to 60mph in under 4.2 seconds & on to a 188mph top speed. The 997 generation 2 cars do not suffer all of the problems of early 997 generation 1 cars, including IMS bearing failures, RMS leaks & Borescoring, all of these issues were eradicated by Porsche when they designed the all-new direct fuel injection DFI 911 engines for the generation 2 997s.

Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera S began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with DFI Direct Fuel Injection which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear & front daylight running lights, all new PCM Porsche Communication Management System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation & Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe looks stunning in its metallic coat of Platinum Silver, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the diamond finished 19-inch Turbo II alloy wheels. The 911 Carrera S has been machine polished & Ceramic Coated, which will help protect the paintwork & repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and clear rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine & boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior
The optional Hardback Sports Seats with 2-way electric adjustment & the rest of the extended black leather interior with contrast silver stitching, are in excellent condition & provide a perfect contrast to the Platinum Silver bodywork. This Porsche is fitted with a number of optional interior features, including Guards Red Seatbelts, Sport Design Steering Wheel & Stainless Steel Door Entry Guards, which elevate the high quality feel of the interior. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 & 997 first generation engines. The 911 Carrera S engine produces 385bhp & 310ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability & superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the highly desired switchable sports suspension system PASM, which includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road. The Carrera S is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT & SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer & blips the throttle on downshifts whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the C2S.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. Because it has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, it unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS & LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes are only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Carrera S to respond and accelerate faster than the standard car, reducing the in-gear acceleration & the headline 0-60mph time by 0.4 seconds to just 4.2 seconds.

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
Our 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the optional 19-inch Turbo II lightweight alloy wheel, which are diamond finished, which are original, unmarked, free of damage & corrosion. The brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled & vented discs front & rear. The callipers are painted Guards Red from the factory with PORSCHE lettering. The tyres are matching Porsche N1-rated Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, with lots of life left.
