“The Cayman has come a long way, establishing itself firmly as a sports car in its own right and no longer seen as the more economical version of the 911. The Cayman S looks, drives and feels just perfect. All other things being equal it is probably all the sports car you’ll ever need. The Cayman S is a pure-bred sports car with mid-mounted engine, delivering uniform weight distribution between the front and rear axles and particularly well-balanced handling characteristics for high cornering speeds with excellent control.”

Background
The Porsche Cayman was introduced in late 2005, the design of the Cayman incorporates styling cues from classic Porsches; 356, 550 Coupe and the 904 Coupe. The Cayman S is powered by a mid-mounted 3.4 litre flat-six mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. As a result the Cayman S is an incredibly capable sportscar with confidence inspiring balance.
Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche Cayman S looks stunning in its metallic coat of Cobalt Blue, an optional colour for the car. The striking 19-inch Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels with coloured crests are the perfect contrast to the red brake callipers. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The Cayman S has been waxed with Autoglym High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.
Interior
The optional black leather hardback sports seats and rest of the interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect contrast to the Cobalt Blue metallic bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.
Engine and Transmission
Our Cayman S is equipped with the 3.4-litre flat-six engine. The Cayman S engine produces 295bhp and 251ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 46:54 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.
With its compact design and low weight, the 6 speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the Cayman S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss.
Our Cayman S is equipped with the highly desired Short Shift gear linkage system which adds to the direct feel of the 6-speed gearbox.
Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our Cayman S comes fitted with the 19 inch Design lightweight alloy wheels, which are unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion. The brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The brake discs and pads are in good condition. The tyres are matching Porsche rated (N2) Pirelli P-Zero items with 5mm of tread all round.
