Other fitted items include Electric windows, Electric heated mirrors, Dual cup holders, Remote central locking, Trip computer, PSM Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Welcome Home Lights, ABS, Locking wheel bolts, Locking glovebox, Alarm and Immobiliser. All equipment fitted to our Cayman S works perfectly, so the car is exactly as it left the factory in October 2009.

The optional PDLS Porsche Dynamic Cornering Bi-Xenon headlights offer exceptional brightness, even in challenging conditions. The light beam pattern actually adjusts from side to side depending on speed and steering wheel movement to light up round a corner increasing your line of sight at night.

Background
The facelift version of the Porsche Cayman was introduced in February 2009. The Cayman S gained direct injection and a 25bhp increase to 320bhp, compared to the first generation version. The new engine does away with the Intermediate Shaft, which proved to be a weak link in pre-2009 engines, and has new cylinder coatings which are not prone to prematurely wearing or bore scoring. The front bumper was redesigned along with new front and rear lights, with the addition of daylight running lights in the front bumper.

Exterior
Our hand selected Cayman S looks stunning in its metallic coat of Basalt Black Silver. The striking 19-inch Sport Design alloy wheels are finished in Sparking Silver metallic with colour Porsche Crests. They are the perfect contrast to the Basalt Black paintwork. The side vents are also finished in Basalt Black from the factory. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior
The Cayman S has the rarely optioned, yet striking, Stone Grey Leather combined with Volcano Grey Headlining, which really lightens up and elevates the luxury feel of the interior. The full leather Comfort Seats have 2-way electric backs and height adjustment, they are equipped with the optional 2-stage heating system and factory X code Porsche Crest embossed headrests. All of the interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect contrast to the Basalt Black bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim parts, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our Cayman S is equipped with the 3.4 litre DFI flat six engine. The Cayman S engine produces 320bhp and 273ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 45:55 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

The Cayman S is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT and SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the mid-engined sportswear.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. Because it has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, it unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS and LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes are only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Cayman S to respond and accelerate faster than the standard car, reducing the in-gear acceleration and the headline 0-60mph time by 0.3 seconds to just 4.8 seconds.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our Cayman S comes fitted with the stunning 19-inch Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels finished in Sparkling Silver Metallic, they have been professionally refurbished by us, so are as new inside and out, freshly rebalanced. The brakes are phenomenal, with factory Guards Red callipers, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear with plenty of life left in them. The tyres are matching Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high performance tyres with lots of tread remaining.
