The 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 385bhp and propels the rear wheel drive sportscar to 60mph in under 4.3 seconds and on to a 188mph top speed. The 997 generation 2 cars do not suffer all of the problems of early 997 generation 1 cars, including IMS bearing failures, RMS leaks and Borescoring, all of these issues were eradicated by Porsche when they designed the all-new direct fuel injection (DFI) 911 engines for the generation 2 997s.

Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera S began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear and front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation and Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera S looks stunning in its metallic coat of Atlas Grey, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the red LED rear lights. The metallic silver and diamond finished 19-inch Carrera Sport lightweight alloy wheels are the perfect compliment to the paintwork. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The 911 Carrera S has been waxed with Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and clear rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior
The Porsche Crest Embossed and heated leather Hardback Sports Seats with 2-way electric adjustment and the rest of the extended black leather interior, are in excellent condition and provide a perfect contrast to the Atlas Grey bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 and 997 first generation engines. The 911 Carrera S engine produces 385bhp and 310ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. The Porsche switchable sports suspension system PASM includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road. PASM equipped cars also sit 10mm lower than non PASM cars.

The 911 Carrera S is equipped with the highly desired Porsche Switchable Exhaust (PSE) system, which unleashes a more sporty sound both on acceleration and lift off.

The rarely specced, optional mechanically locking rear limited-slip differential is also a choice addition to the equipment list on this 911 C2S, it further enhances traction at the driven rear axle on uneven roads and when accelerating out of tight bends. This is accomplished by the damping of load-change reactions during fast cornering.

The Carrera S is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT and SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer and blips the throttle on downshifts whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the C2S.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. Because it has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, it unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS and LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes are only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Carrera S to respond and accelerate faster than the standard car, reducing the in-gear acceleration and the headline 0-60mph time by 0.4 seconds to just under 4.3 seconds.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the optional exclusive factory order 19-inch Carrera Sport lightweight alloy wheels finished in metallic silver with a diamond cut edge, which are original, unmarked, free of damage and corrosion. The brake discs and pads are in excellent condition. The tyres are N2 rated Michelin Pilot Sport 2 high performance tyres, with plenty of tread left on them, having been replaced last year.
