This is a stunning example of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S finished in rare Guards Red (code L84A) which has been impeccably maintained by it’s three owners. This Carrera 4S has a great selection of optional equipment, it comes with the sublime six speed manual gearbox, Switchable Sports Exhaust, Hardback Sports Leather Seats, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), satellite navigation with telephone module (PCM), rear parking sensors, auto wipers and 19″ Carrera Classic 5-spoke lightweight alloy wheels. The Carrera 4S comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 350bhp as standard.

Just two previous owners from new (current owner since February 2014) and full service history with invoices. We have arranged a full diagnostic check including over-rev check and the results are very favourable, one of the best we’ve seen. The Carrera 4S has also been thoroughly inspected and all issues addressed by Porsche Specialist PorschaCare in October 2018, which included brake fluid, both air conditioning condensers and an oil service. The Carrera 4S has covered 99,100 miles, but it has been looked after by its former keepers regardless of cost. The car is HPI clear and comes complete with six months warranty for peace of mind.

Standard items include the Carrera 4S inscribed sill covers, Stainless steel quad exhaust tips, retractable rear spoiler, Automatic climate control, Electric windows, Headlight washers, dual cup holders, Remote central locking, Trip computer, PASM Traction Control, ABS, Locking wheel bolts, Locking glovebox, Alarm and Immobiliser. Background

Production of the 911 Carrera 4S began in early 2006, it was an all-wheel drive version of the 2S that was released in late 2004. Just like the 2S, the S version was offered with additional power from a slightly larger engine, sports suspension, and sports exhaust. The Carrera 4S uses the 3.8 litre flat-6 engine found in the 2S. As standard the Carrera 4S was fitted with 20mm lower suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), 19 inch wheels, 911 turbo brake setup, Bi-Xenon headlights and aluminium finish instruments. The 4S has a 44mm wider rear end body shell and black plastic sill covers, just like the 911 Turbo.

Exterior

Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera 4S looks stunning in its glossy coat of Guards Red, a rare colour for the 997 but a classic 911 colour nevertheless. The striking silver Carrera Classic 5-spoke alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the 911 Turbo red brake callipers. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The Carrera 4S has been waxed with Autoglym High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior

The optional black leather hardback sports seats and rest of the interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect contrast to the Guards Red bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission

Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six engine. The Carrera 4S engine produces 350bhp and 295ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot (it has the recommended starter cable upgrade), there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. With its compact design and low weight, the 6 speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the 911 Carrera 4S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss. Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the highly desired factory switchable sports exhaust system, which includes the dashboard switch that opens a set of valves that increase the sound at higher revs.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes

Our 911 Carrera 4S comes fitted with the 19 inch Carrera Classic 5-spoke lightweight alloy wheels, which are totally unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion. The Turbo brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The brake discs and pads are in excellent condition. The tyres are matching Michelin Pilot 4 with 6mm of tread on the front and 5mm on the rear, they were fitted in July 2017 at 93k miles.

History File

Our Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has a full Porsche and Specialist Dealer service history with evidence of work carried out shown in the accompanying invoices. The last service was completed at 99,000 miles in October 2018 and included an inspection, brake fluid and a pair of new air conditioning condensers. We have carried out an over rev and full diagnostic check which has all come back excellent. The next service is due in 20,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes sooner.

The most recent brake fluid change was at 99k, the spark plugs were replaced at 96k. The clutch was changed at 87,000 miles in June 2016.

The car comes complete with invoices of work carried out, original owners manual pack and two keys. 6 month nationwide warranty and 12 months MOT is included.
