Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe with the rarely available 6-speed Manual and short shift kit. It also has the full suite of performance options, Chrono, PSE, PASM, LSD and Adaptive Hardback Sports Seats! This is a 997.2, the last generation of 911 with Hydraulic Steering, classic 993-esque styling, timeless design in Basalt Black Metallic with Black extended leather, silver stitching, red belts and Black Alcantara headlining. It is now getting extremely hard to find great examples of this ultimate Porsche sportscar.

The 911 Carrera 4S comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 385bhp and propels the all wheel drive sportscar to 60mph in under 4.5 seconds and on to a 185mph top speed. The 997 generation 2 cars do not suffer all of the problems of early 997 generation 1 cars, including IMS bearing failures, RMS leaks and Borescoring, all of these issues were eradicated by Porsche when they designed the all-new direct fuel injection DFI 911 engines for the generation 2 997s.

This 911 Carrera 4S comes with 2 Porsche keys, all tools, leather manual pack. HPI clear, 6 months warranty and roadside/home assistance, which can be extended up to 2 years.

Standard items include the Hill Start Assist, retractable rear spoiler, Automatic climate control, Electric windows, Headlight washers, daylight running LEDs, silver dashboard dials, dual cup holders, Remote central locking, Trip computer, PSM Traction Control, ABS, Locking wheel bolts, Locking glovebox, Alarm and Immobiliser. All equipment fitted to our 911 Carrera 4S works perfectly, so the car is as it left the factory in May 2010.

Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera 4S began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with Direct Fuel Injection DFI which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear and front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management PCM System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation and Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera 4S looks stunning in its optional metallic coat of Basalt Black, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the red strip reflector on the rear of the wide bodyshell. The 19-inch Sport Design alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the Guards Red 911 Turbo 6-pot Brembo brake callipers. The 911 Carrera 4S has been machine polished and waxed with Autofinesse Soul Carnauba Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior
The rarely optioned and highly desirable Adaptive Hardback Sports Seats feature 16-way Electric Control, including adjustable Lumbar Support and Lower/Upper Bolsters. The optional memory function supports both exterior mirrors and all seat positions on the driver’s side, apart from the side bolsters. These settings are stored on the individual keys as well as 2 additional memory settings on the memory control panel on the drivers door. The seats also come with the optional 2-stage heating. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout. The optional Guards Red Seat Belts, combined with the Silver Instrument Dials and Silver Stopwatch add to the sporting image of the interior.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 and 997 first generation engines. The 911 Carrera 4S engine produces 385bhp and 310ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

With its compact design and low weight, the rarely specced 6-speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the 911 Carrera 4S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss. This 911 Carrera 4S has also been equipped with the Porsche Short Shift Kit, which further increases the direct feel and reduces travel of the gear shift through the gears.

Our 911 Carrera 4S is equipped with the highly desired switchable sports suspension system PASM, which includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road.

The Carrera 4S is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT button that sharpens the throttle response and engine map whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the C4S.

Another addition is the exceptional Porsche Switchable Sports Exhaust PSE which significantly improves the sound of the 911 on any journey, without being too loud or intrusive.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera 4S comes fitted with the optional 19-inch Sport Design lightweight alloy wheels finished in Arctic Silver with colour Porsche Crests. They are original, unmarked, free of damage as they have just been refurbished. The brake discs and pads are in excellent condition. The tyres are Bridgestone Potenza high performance tyres, with plenty of tread left on them, the fronts have just been replaced.
