Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Carrera 4 began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear and front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation and Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Carrera 4 looks stunning in its special factory option metallic coat of Atlas Grey, a striking colour for the 997.2, especially with the red strip reflector on the rear of the wider bodyshell. The 19-inch Turbo 3.6 diamond-cut lightweight alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the paintwork. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The 911 Carrera 4 has been waxed with Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax by us, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and clear rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture buildup. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should.

Interior
The 12-way electric seats with built-in lumbar support air cushion and key memory come with optional 2-stage heating and, like the rest of the special order two-tone black and terracotta interior leather, are in excellent condition and provide a perfect contrast to the Atlas Grey metallic bodywork. The seat memory function supports both exterior mirrors and all seat positions on the driver’s side. The carbon fibre on the steering wheel, door entry guards and centre console are also unmarked and as new. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Carrera 4 is equipped with the 3.6 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 and first generation 997 engines. The 911 Carrera 4 engine produces 345bhp and 288ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. Our 911 Carrera 4 is equipped with the highly desired switchable sports suspension system, which includes the dashboard switch that stiffens the suspension in an instant, increasing connection to the road, it also sits 10mm lower than standard. The Carrera 4 is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT and SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer and blips the throttle on downshifts whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the Carrera 4.

The 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. It has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS and LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Carrera 4 to respond and accelerate faster than the standard car.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Carrera 4 comes fitted with the 19-inch Turbo 3.6 diamond-cut lightweight alloy wheels, which are original, unmarked, free of damage and corrosion as they have been professionally refurbished by us. The brake discs and pads are in good condition with minimal wear. The tyres are N rated Michelin Pilot Sport high performance tyres with 5-6mm tread all round.

History File
Our Porsche 911 Carrera 4 has a full Official Porsche Centre (OPC) service history. The last service was completed at 49,200 miles at Official Porsche Centre Silverstone.

The spark plugs were last changed at 44,814 miles, the brake fluid was last changed at 49,200 miles, the auxiliary drive belt was replaced at 36,219 miles and the PDK transmission oil was changed at 44,814 miles. All of this crucial work was carried out on schedule and at Porsche OPC main dealers.

The car comes complete with the original stamped service book, original owners manual pack, history/provenance file, two keys and two activated immobiliser cards. MOT until October 2020 and 6 months warranty.
