Background
Production of the second generation 997 series 911 Targa 4S began in 2009, it featured an all new engine with Direct Fuel Injection DFI which is mounted 10mm lower in the car, revised suspension system, new front bumper with larger air intakes, LED rear & front daylight running lights, all new Porsche Communication Management PCM System with touchscreen, hard drive navigation & Bluetooth.

Exterior
Our hand selected Porsche 911 Targa 4 looks stunning in its Paint to Sample Special Order Atlas Grey Metallic, a striking colour for the 911, especially with the red strip reflector on the rear of the wider bodyshell. The metallic silver 19-inch Carrera Classic wheels are the perfect contrast to the paintwork. The 911 Targa 4 has been machine polished & waxed by us, which will help protect the paintwork & repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front & rear lights, which are free from any damage. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine & boot struts also operate as they should. The glass Targa roof operates as it should, as does the soft-close rear hatch.

Interior
The 2-way Electric Leather Seats come with the optional 2-stage heating, just like the rest of the leather interior, they are in excellent condition & provide a perfect pairing to the Atlas Grey bodywork. There are options that enhance the Targa 4 further over other examples including Sport Design steering wheel with full size PDK shift paddles & the Sport Chrono dashboard mounted stopwatch. There are no major marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout.

Engine and Transmission
Our 911 Targa 4 is equipped with the 3.6 litre flat six DFI engine, which addressed all previous weaknesses of the 996 & 997 first generation engines. The 911 Targa 4 engine produces 340bhp & 288ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability & superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

The sophisticated 4WD system is perfect for all weather, all year round driving, it automatically directs between 5-40% of torque to the front wheels, providing the perfect balance of performance & safety on the road.

The Targa 4 is also fitted with Sport Chrono Package Plus, which adds a SPORT & SPORT PLUS button that sharpen the throttle response, decreases shift speeds, hold gears for longer & blips the throttle on downshifts whilst also adding a dashboard mounted stopwatch to add to the sporting image of the Targa.

The optional 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. Because it has been specified in combination with Sport Chrono Package Plus, it unlocks additional shift speeds in both SPORT PLUS & LAUNCH CONTROL modes. These modes are only available with these options selected from the factory along with PDK. They enable the Targa 4 to respond & accelerate faster than the standard car, reducing the in-gear acceleration and the headline 0-60mph time by 0.3 seconds to just 4.8 seconds.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our 911 Targa 4 comes fitted with the optional 19-inch Carrera Classic Lightweight Alloy Wheels which have just been refurbished so are as new, inside & out. The brakes are phenomenal, with factory satin black callipers and PORSCHE lettering in white, cross drilled & vented discs front & rear with plenty of life left in them. The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Porsche N2 rated high performance tyres with plenty of tread all round.
