2014 Agate Grey metallic 981 Boxster S PDK with Optional Extended Black Leather (Seats, Dashboard, Doors) and BBS Silver 20-inch Carrera S alloy wheels. The 981 generation cars do not suffer all of the problems of later 718 cars, such as turbo/oil supply failures, or earlier 987 generation 1 cars, including IMS bearing failures, RMS leaks and Borescoring, all of these issues were eradicated by Porsche when they designed the all-new direct fuel injection (DFI) naturally aspirated 981 Boxster and Cayman engines.

Full comprehensive Official Porsche Centre (OPC) and Porsche Specialist service history, the mileage is 39,940 miles and has three previous owners from new. Standard items include Electric windows, Dual cup holders, Remote central locking, Trip computer, Daytime running lights, PSM Traction Control, Top Tinted Windscren, Hill Start Assist, Start/Stop Function, adjustable steering column, ABS, Locking wheel bolts, Locking glovebox, Alarm and Immobiliser. Background
The Porsche 981 is the internal designation given to the third-generation Porsche Boxster models built by Porsche, released in summer 2012. The 981 reflects the new design language from the 918 Spyder and 991 series 911, and features new and revised engine and transmission specifications. Together with a new body, the type 981 features a new chassis; 40 per cent more torsionally rigid, the front track is 40mm wider, the rear 18mm wider and the wheelbase extended by 60mm, but with a small weight reduction of 30kg. The 981 Boxster is the last to feature a boxer six-cylinder engine. The engine does away with the Intermediate Shaft, which proved to be a weak link in pre-2009 Boxster engines.

Exterior
Our hand selected Boxster S looks stunning in its metallic coat of Agate Grey. The striking 20-inch Carrera S lightweight alloy wheels finished in BBS Silver Metallic with black Porsche crests are the perfect contrast to the Agate Grey paintwork. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should. The Black fabric hood is in excellent condition and operates perfectly, stationary and up to 40mph. It has a heated glass screen and remote key operation.

Interior
The Boxster S comes with full black leather sports seats that have 3-stage seat heating and electric seat backs. The optional extended leather dashboard, centre console, doors and seats are in excellent condition and provide a perfect contrast to the Agate Grey bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim parts, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout. The sleek aesthetic is topped-off with features like the Silver Instrument Dials, Silver Grey Seats Belts, Sport Design Steering Wheel and PCM 3.1 touchscreen system that controls many optional features of the car (Navigation, DVD DOLBY 5.1 playback, Jukebox music storage of 10,000 tracks, Phone connectivity, Bluetooth® music streaming, music interface).

Engine and Transmission
Our Boxster S is equipped with the 3.4 litre DFI flat six engine. The Boxster S engine produces 315bhp and 273ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 45:55 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot, there is no smoke whatsoever either at startup or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running.

The 7-speed double-clutch PDK transmission system provides instant changes, unleashing the power of the engine with minimal fuss. It has three selectable modes, Normal, SPORT and Full Manual Shifting.

Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Our Boxster comes fitted with the 20-inch Carrera S lightweight alloy wheels finished in BBS Silver Metallic, which are unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion, as they have just been fully refurbished. The brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The tyres are matching Porsche N rated Pirelli P-Zero high performance tyres with lots of tread remaining.
